Welcome, Bridge Pastor Kelly!

Oak Hills is happy to announce that we have hired Rev. Kelly Dickson as a Bridge Pastor to lead alongside Pastor Christy during our pastoral transition! (The Bridge Pastor designation is for temporary leadership. Kelly is on a 6-month, but renewable, contract.)

A brief bio:

Kelly Dickson is an ordained Presbyterian pastor who has served in a variety of ministry roles over the past 20 years, including: Solo Pastor, Minister of Adult Ministries, Young Adults, Women’s, Small Groups, and Community Life Ministries. Kelly provides pastoral care as a presbytery staff member with Cascades Presbytery and is the founder of Shalom Collective, a ministry dedicated to the care of pastors and faith leaders across denominations and differences. Kelly speaks at retreats and teaches throughout the Pacific Northwest. She completed her Masters of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA) and Bachelor’s in Communication Studies at Westmont College (Santa Barbara, CA).

Kelly was trained in soul care and spiritual formation by Ruth Haley Barton as a participant in a Transforming Community at the Transforming Center, a two-year spiritual formation program. Kelly and Dustin (her husband of 21 years) have three children: Isaac (16), Kaelyn (13) and Ainsley (8). Kelly is passionate about supporting and caring for pastors and ministry leaders, loves spending Friday nights with her family for “pizza and movie nights” and starts everyday with coffee, a candle and a bit of quiet with Jesus.

A note from Kelly:

It is a joy to be invited by your Session to partner with Pastor Christy and serve as your Bridge Pastor. I’m grateful that our shared time in worship this summer and my visits this fall confirmed what I had already sensed—you are a warm and welcoming community. I’m delighted to begin this journey with you in the season of Advent (my favorite season in the church calendar!) and look forward to getting to know each of you in the months ahead.

Advent Hope and Peace be with you,

Kelly
